Cathay Construction's Ambitious Expansion: Launching Seven Major Projects Nationwide with Record Sales of 60 Billion NTD
Cathay Construction Co. Ltd. (2501-TW), in its sixtieth year and in partnership with Japan's Mitsui Real Estate Group, sets a record high with projected sales totaling 60 billion NTD in 2024. These announcements were made as part of their collaboration for the 'META PARK' project in Zhonghe, New Taipei City, which nearly sold out in its first phase, with the second phase, 'METRO PARK,' now on the market.

The upcoming year marks a significant milestone for Cathay Construction, with the deployment of seven substantial new projects across the north, central, and southern regions of Taiwan. This new venture is expected to generate approximately 300 billion NTD in revenue over the next five years, solidifying its position as a comprehensive developer in real estate. Today's focus centers upon the unveiling of two key phases in New Taipei City—the 'META PARK' and 'METRO PARK' developments—collectively valued at over 32 billion NTD.

Reflecting on 60 years of service, Chairman Zhang Qingkui highlighted the company's evolution from predominantly focusing on residential properties to diversifying into other real estate segments. He underscored the strategic import of continuing to secure prime land, carefully selecting partners and quality manufacturers. This broadened developmental approach aims to forge strategic alliances, expanding opportunities in mixed-use developments.

This partnership with Mitsui began four years ago and includes residential properties, hotels, and commercial estates across Taiwan. Noteworthy projects include the Garden Hotel on Dunhua North Road, the lalaport mall in Kaohsiung Fongshan, and residential developments such as 'UNi PARK' in Tainan, 'RIVER PARK' in Sanchong, and both 'META PARK' and 'METRO PARK' in Zhonghe. Additionally, the collaboration has successfully secured the government initiative for urban renewal at Lunzi Section in Hsinchu City, aiming to explore suitable residential or mixed-use real estate developments throughout Taiwan’s six major cities.

With more than 50 billion NTD reserved for future residential projects, Cathay Construction continues to strengthen its market presence, particularly in the northern regions beyond Hsinchu, accounting for about 46% of its project reserves. The dynamic vision promoted by this seasoned company, in partnership with global leaders such as Mitsui, indicates a promising horizon for Taiwan’s real estate market.

As Cathay Construction moves forward with its aggressive expansion plans, its commitment to enhancing urban landscapes and creating value through innovative real estate solutions stands as a testament to its enduring legacy and future aspirations. This strategy not only commemorates six decades of building excellence but also paves the way for sustained growth and achievement in an ever-evolving industry.
